Dear Parents,

      Welcome to second grade!  Summer is a great time for your child to relax and read a variety of books.  Help your child choose books that are not too hard or too easy, just right for them.   I suggest they read for 15 minutes, 5 days a week to maintain fluency and comprehension skills.  

    Each student is required to read Frog and Toad are Friends by Arnold Lobel.  After reading the book, complete the attached book report.  This assignment is due the first day of school. 

    I hope everyone has a safe, fun-filled summer, and I look forward to seeing you in August!
