Church project

Dear Parents,

We have been learning about the important people, places, and objects that are found in a Catholic Church.  The class is now going to apply that knowledge and design their own church.  Their church can be constructed inside a box, made of wood, made of Legos … There is no limit to how creative your child can be!

1. The church must include at least 8 of the people, places or objects listed below. Each item must be labeled.
2. The church must be given a name.  (Examples: St. Stephen's Church, Our Lady of Friendship Church)
3. Students will be giving an oral presentation sharing all the parts of their church.

Any 8 of these below:

People-priest, deacon, altar servers, lector

Places-baptismal font, altar, confessional, stained glass windows

Objects-ambo, Bible, chalice, paten, vestments, pews, candles, cruets, host, tabernacle, or crucifix.
