KB News & Updates  

• Library books are due every Thursday morning so that our librarian, Mrs. Jennings, is able to check them in prior to our visits on Mondays.
• Every Thursday is a gym day.  Students in KB need to be in their gym uniform and sneakers.  Sneakers are only to be worn on gym days unless specified.   
• Please send your child with a reusable spill/leakproof water bottle for use throughout the day. 
• Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather (coats/hats, etc.). *Sneakers are only to be worn on gym days.* 
• Please label ALLLLLL coats, sweatshirts, sweaters, lunchboxes, backpacks, and water bottles.  While we try to foster a sense of independence in kindergarten, things do get lost/misplaced from time to time, and it makes it easier to help locate the rightful owner if the item is labeled.

• Thursday, September 3rd, 2026, 8am - noon: BOYS ONLY orientation day; NO PM BUSSING FOR K 
• Friday, September 4th, 2026, & Monday, September 7th, 2026: Labor Day weekend; SCHOOL CLOSED
• Tuesday, September 8th, 2026: Kindergarten's 1st FULL day of school & CARES begins
• Thursday, September 10th, 2026: Back to School Night, 6 pm  
• Monday, September 14th, 2026: Hot Lunch/School snack program begin & pretzels if ordered (info TBD)

• Friday, October 23rd, 2026: Kindergarten Fall Field Trip to Highland Orchards
• Friday, November 13th, 2026: Kindergarten's 50th Day of School
• Friday, November 20th, 2026:  Breads & Spreads Thanksgiving Feast
• Tuesday, November 24th, 2026: Grandparents/VIP Day; NOON DISMISSAL/NO CARES
• Tuesday, February 16th, 2027: Kindergarten's 100th Day of School
• Friday, March 19th, 2027:  Oh the Places Presentations
• Friday, May 7th, 2027:  Mother's Day Tea Party, 1:30 PM in the MPRCS Gym
