Instead of sending your full tax payment to Harrisburg, you can redirect a portion of those dollars to support scholarships and tuition reduction grants for MPRCS students.

What Does It Cost?

Actual savings may vary based on your tax situation and commitment length (assumes a 2-year commitment). Please consult your tax professional about potential federal deductibility of net cost.

Even if your Pennsylvania taxes are already withheld through your paycheck, you still receive the credit – as a refund after you file your tax return.

Many participants plan for the timing of the contribution as part of their overall tax strategy.

Most find the net cost is significantly lower than they expect.

How It Works 

Getting started is simple:

1. We connect you with a trusted tax credit partner, such as BLOCS or the Foundation for Catholic Education (TuitionCare program administrator)
2. Complete a short application (usually 10-15 minutes) and make a commitment through one of our tax credit partners
3. Make your contribution at the appropriate time
4. Receive your Pennsylvania tax credit after you file your state taxes

While you'll work directly with one of our tax credit partners, we're always here to help answer any questions!

Key Dates to Know

• Now – Fall 2026: enrollment and planning period
• September/October 2026: tax credit partners send contribution instructions
• Late November 2026 (around Thanksgiving): contributions are typically due to tax credit partners
• February 2027: TuitionCare grants awarded to MPRCS
• March 15, 2027: deadline for tax credit partners to send K-1 tax forms
• Spring 2027: File your Pennsylvania tax return to claim your tax credits
• July 2027: EITC/OSTC funding is distributed to MPRCS
• Summer/Fall 2027: Pennsylvania distributes tax refunds (refund timing can vary, electronic filing typically results in faster processing)
