Dr. Sara Dempsey is the Principal of Mother of Providence Regional Catholic School and brings more than 22 years of experience in Catholic education to her role. Before becoming principal, she served as a music teacher for 15 years and as a parish music director, experiences that helped shape her passion for faith-filled education and student development.
As principal, Dr. Dempsey is dedicated to fostering a school community where academic excellence, Catholic values, and service to others are woven into daily life. She works closely with faculty, families, and parish partners to ensure that each student is challenged to reach their fullest potential while growing in faith and character.
Dr. Dempsey recently earned her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from Immaculata University. Her doctoral research focused on STEM education in Catholic elementary schools, examining how teachers can be best prepared to implement innovative instructional practices while maintaining a strong Catholic identity.
A firm believer in the importance of educating the whole child, Dr. Dempsey strives to create a welcoming environment where students feel known, valued, and inspired to become lifelong learners and faithful disciples of Christ.
Outside of school, Dr. Dempsey enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons and remains actively involved in her parish community.
